Description

As major energy consumers and direct emission sources of potent greenhouse gases (GHG) such as nitrous oxide and methane, wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) contribute significantly to anthropogenic GHG emissions. Reducing these emissions from WWTPs is particularly challenging, as new requirements and discharge standards require additional treatment steps (e.g. quaternary treatment) which result in higher consumption of electricity and chemicals. Similar challenges occur when alternative water resources are integrated into the water management system, as additional treatment steps are necessary for water reclamation.

Do you need energy and greenhouse gas balances for your WWTP or for your alternative water resource solution? Are you looking for systemic solutions to increase energy and climate efficiency of water management? Are you looking for advice regarding the new political requirements on the road to climate neutrality?

With our service of Life Cycle Solutions, you will gain a comprehensive and detailed insight into the GHG balances of your WWTP and/or alternative water resource solution. Together, we will develop strategies to make your entire plant operation more climate friendly. We will also develop concepts with concrete measures for you so that you can comply with new climate laws and thus contribute to protecting the environment and the climate.
